This social media tutorial will cover Twitter and adding a new Header Image to your profile.
Twitter recently released Enhanced Profiles in an effort to provide it’s users an engaging experience. Much like Facebook’s Timeline, Twitter emphasizes brands telling their story and showcasing what makes them unique.
The process of uploading a new Twitter Header Image is fairly simple, and can be located in your Settings options. You are also given the ability to scale your uploaded image using a convenient built in slider allowing you to preview what your header image will look like before you save the changes.
This gives brands more flexibility in choosing the best graphical representation for their Twitter page. After all, a shoddy first impression could be the difference between a new follower or page bounce.

Final Thoughts
More and more social platforms are incorporating this form of storytelling through graphic displays on their home pages. It’s up to brands to take advantage of this opportunity and promote a consistent image across all online networks.
I especially enjoyed the native editing features but I think it would be interesting to allow users to add image filters the same way Instagram does. What was your first impression of the update and have you uploaded your header yet?
